Chapter 54

　　Patrick looked at Gloria, who was lying on the bed. The expression on her face showed that she had given up her life. Even though Patrick was grabbing her neck, she did not resist. 　　Patrick felt a sharp pain in his heart. Leo roared angrily in his mind. 　　Leo began to fight for control of his body. It wanted to take over Patrick's body. It could not allow Patrick to hurt their mate. 　　Patrick endured the pain and continued to pinch Gloria's neck. 　　He shouted angrily, "Why don't you fight back! Why!" 　　Did she want to die so badly? No! She cared so much about Mike. Would she rather die than beg for mercy? 　　Patrick didn't realize that he was jealous of Mike. He went mad, like a boy desperately trying to get his favorite toy. 　　Even though hurting Gloria made him feel agonized, he seemed to want her to give in. 　　He did not realize that he didn't want Gloria to struggle, or beg for mercy. What he wanted was her loyalty. 　　Patrick wanted her to show that in her heart, he was unique.
