Skye looked at me with a hint of embarrassment. Her face was still flushed, whether from the lingering effects of the alcohol or from shyness. She was enveloped in a towel, and her figure had astonishing curves. She exuded an enticing charm.
She walked over and said softly, "Just go…"
I looked at her, slightly stunned. Last time, she had insisted I not do Lilith's bidding, so why was she asking me to go today?
I looked at her, bewildered. Skye continued, "There are only ten days left. I understand your situation and admire your composure."
Her words struck a chord with me. She really understood me well. She had thoroughly investigated my situation.
I didn't really care what others thought of me. What mattered to me was what I wanted. Dignity? Reputation? They were not that important.
But now, for some reason, I cared a lot about how she saw me. I had never felt this way before.
