I didn't know what Wynnie said to Richard and Susan, but they were chased out by the housekeepers.
The door to the master bedroom was pushed open.
Wynnie walked in with a frown and looked at me.
"That was fast."
I got up and took her jacket and bag from her. I also brought her a pair of slippers for her to change into.
Her gaze stayed glued to me the whole time.
"Were you the one who asked them to come to me directly?"
I looked up and zoned out slightly at the sight of the rage in her eyes.
I got up and went back to my seat next to the balcony. Helplessly, I explained, "They were looking for you in the first place. The only reason they came here was because they couldn't contact you."
Wynnie didn't seem to believe me. She scoffed with an expression that was full of disdain.
"Was that also why you passed along the message that I shouldn't be doing any vigorous exercise with a fever?"
