“How Is she?” Sarah was expecting this man to carry the person over for medical attention, but he unexpectedly came back alone.
“She won’t die. A car will pick her up later.”
“I’ll go check,” Sarah said as she put the skewer in her hand down.
“She can talk and is still conscious, so just send her to the hospital. I don’t want to cause any trouble,” James added—his tone sounding heavy.
There were too many people out to kill him, so the less contact he had with people, the better.
That was the best way to protect himself.
When James said it that way, Sarah recalled the car accident he experienced, then took another look in the direction of the woman and stopped walking over.
Choking on seawater could easily be resolved by spitting it out. She would not be able to help much anyway. After all, the woman was awake.
