Chapter 107 "Three months Ago, The Bet"
Elijah P.O.V.
"Okay! Go clean up, boys," I heard the coach say.
Hey, Woods!" I heard the coach's voice. I turn around. I stopped, and the coach told me to stay. So, I did.
After a few minutes of talking with my coach, he wanted to know if anything was wrong and if I needed to sit out for the first game this Friday.
I told him I was good and would be ready, and I didn't want to sit out. I wanted to play for him Friday night.
He stared at me, then nodded his head and told me to shower, go home, and relax.
So that is what I am going to do. I am sore and stiff, and I need to relax my muscles and sleep. But, oh, God, I need rest. I am not sleeping very well.
Once, I was getting off the field, and I grabbed my helmet and stuck it under my arm. I walked from practice toward the locker room when I overheard Matthew and Andrew speaking.
I started to walk closer to hear what they were saying.
