"Steve, I really regret what I did. I should never have agreed to break off the engagement. Then, you wouldn't have fallen into gambling addiction and drug abuse. It's all my fault," Cavin said, full of remorse.
"You're such a hypocrite! You were the one who insisted on breaking the engagement in the first place," Steven scoffed.
"How could I possibly have done that? It was Marrie who suggested it," Cavin continued.

"Not long after your parents passed away, Marrie approached me and said she wanted to break off the engagement. I refused, but she claimed it was your father's last wish for you to marry her daughter, Yanny.
"Marrie also said you agreed to cancel the engagement and refused to marry Fee. Thinking it was your father's wish, I agreed."
Upon hearing Cavin's words, Steven frowned. He began contemplating whether Cavin was telling the truth.
