Alec’s point of view. The remainder of our weekend passed quickly and smoothly. Alana focused on her work from the cabin, while I attended to my own business matters. Killian and I were in the process of scheduling our upcoming trip to Michigan. Everything seemed to be falling into place. The woman we needed to meet with had agreed to meet with us. We did after all offer to pay a sum that many won’t be able to turn down, she was no different. She was initially cautious about our intentions hence why she chose a very public place to meet, but we hoped to gain her trust once she realised we were there to hear her side of the story. I had given Alana the opportunity to join us on our Michigan trip, but she had declined, explaining that she had two projects to manage.
