Chapter 39 The Trap
Cordelia found herself backed against the wall, staring at the fiery anger flickering in Benedict's narrow eyes. It was as if he could ignite her with just a glance.
"If I tell you there's a problem with this collaboration, would you believe me?" she questioned.
Benedict scoffed coldly. "Are you really that kind-hearted? Don't forget who tied me to the bed when things went south, who was ruthless and unreasonable."
"Hmph, I knew you'd hold a grudge and not trust me!" Cordelia crossed her arms and turned her head away, adopting a stubborn look.
Benedict's brows furrowed. "Fine, you say there's an issue with Zenith Warp Technologies's collaboration. What's your basis?"
"The sidekick in the game said so," Cordelia replied with a serious gaze.
Benedict's handsome face turned even more grim, his cold eyes gathering a misty darkness.
The air seemed to freeze, and their gazes met, flames of crimson dancing in their eyes.
"Go. I don't want to see you," he uttered.
