Opening the door, she got in. The interior sent a chill through her, making her shiver.
Benedict, eyeing the seemingly tipsy woman, furrowed his handsome brows. "Who told you to get in?"
He had just finished socializing nearby and unexpectedly encountered the woman with flushed cheeks and clear eyes on the street.
"We're heading in the same direction. Don't be so stingy. I'll pay you for the ride."
Cordelia lowered her head. She rummaged through her backpack and handed Benedict the materials the professor had given her today, saying, "No need to look for change."
Benedict's expression grew colder. Flicking through the files in his hand, he casually stuffed them into his bag.
The driver upfront broke into a cold sweat. He had never seen anyone act so boldly in front of Benedict.
Cordelia had to count her blessings.
Benedict might kick her out of the car at any moment.
