After a meal, with almost all the beer on the table gone, Stella and Daniel were both feeling a little tipsy, lounging on the couch.
"Cordelia, I've got a headache. I'll head back to your room and crash," Joseph said.
Joseph, not used to beer, was feeling dizzy in an instant. As he stood up, he found it hard to maintain his balance, leaning his head against Cordelia's shoulder.
A faint fragrance wafted into his nostrils, causing a slight upward curve at the corner of Joseph's lips. He seemed to enjoy using her shoulder as a pillow.

Joseph narrowed his eyes. He knew these two were in a contractual marriage, and that was why he dared to get close to Cordelia. But he couldn't say any of that.
