James smiled. "We don't come by that often anyway."
"It'd be worse if you do." Isaac snorted.
Erin was thoroughly grateful, just as she knew that she had been imposing on Erin.
Wrapping her hands around Irene's arm cutely, she said, "You can take my child as goddaughter if it's a girl in return, and if Irene doesn't dislike it."
Isaac, however, felt stung—Erin had to mention the fact that he had two sons and no daughter.
"Are you sure it's a daughter?" he asked. "Who knows? You might end up with more sons than me."
Erin was not upset—Isaac meant to upset her.
"You're not jealous because you think I have a chance, are you?" she giggled.
