Silas tilted his head and smiled. He handed out his pool cue when his man came over and took it, sensibly starting to clean the field.
The field was cleaned within two minutes.
Silas and Charlotte sat down facing each other while she looked down to get the proposed agreement from her bag.
Just as she was about to hand it to him, Silas said in a charming voice, "Ms. Seinfield, I forgot to remind you last time that I'm not interested in paper."
Charlotte paused a bit and then shoved the file back into her bag. With a polite smile on her face, she joked, "You're surely an unconstrained man, Mr. Hoyce."
Silas leaned lazily on the sofa, the warm yellow light hiding half of his figure in the shadows. He looked at Charlotte with a calm demeanor, waiting for her to make an offer.
