CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINETEEN – THE HYBRID MONSTROSITY
Laura regained consciousness with a groan, her head throbbing and her vision blurry. As her senses slowly returned, she became aware of her surroundings – the cold concrete floor beneath her, the musty smell of abandonment, and the sound of distant machinery humming.
She pushed herself up, wincing at the pain that shot through her body. As her eyes adjusted to the dim light, she found herself in a vast, empty warehouse. Rusted metal shelves loomed like skeletal giants, and shafts of moonlight filtered through broken windows high above.
"Well, well. Look who's finally awake," a familiar voice echoed through the cavernous space.
Laura's head snapped up, her eyes narrowing as she spotted Tina lounging on a stack of old crates. The hybrid's metallic claws gleamed in the low light, and her eyes glowed an eerie red.
"Where's Emma?" Laura demanded, her voice hoarse but determined.
