As Partners Conor sounded like he didn't care much, "Cause he has invested a lot of money."
Stacey was speechless.

Annoyed, Stacey pulled the curtains shut, not wanting anything to do with Conor. But Conor, smirking just a bit, closed his curtain and then yanked open the one between them. Stacey was about to take her mask off to catch her breath when she got startled.
Halfway putting her mask back on, she blurted, "What are you up to?"
"You can be real with me," Conor said.
"You wouldn't get it," Stacey looked away.
"Because you never let me in," Conor said, giving her a look that felt like he was trying to get closer.
He wished she'd trust him more.
She was like a walking safe of secrets. To him, she was still a puzzle inside a mystery. He was scared she'd just up and disappear one day.
