"Sure." Stacey's voice was laced with a childlike resolve.
Conor gazed at her, his face unreadable. "You know nothing."
Conor got to his feet, shrugging off his suit jacket.
Stacey's pulse pounded in her ears.
What was he up to in a hospital room?
After removing his jacket, Conor loosened his tie and casually tossed it aside.
He glanced at Stacey.
Why did her gaze always make him feel like she was looking at a pervert?
Was taking off a jacket now a felony?
Conor shot her a glare, "Should I strip down to my shirt, too, for your viewing pleasure?"
Stacey mulled it over internally. Well, she wouldn't really mind that.
It wouldn't hurt to just feast her eyes.
"By the way, where's my duck bag?" Stacey suddenly recalled.
Conor fetched it from a nearby hook and passed it to her. "What are you rummaging for?"
