Chapter 68: I Won't Do It Again
Conor had the study tidied up by his staff. He stepped out onto the balcony and dialed Lennox's number.
"What's taking so long? Your efficiency has been lacking lately," Conor's voice was icy cold.
Lennox felt awkward, "It's not that I'm not trying, but there's simply no trace of Stacey. Are you sure she's using the name Stacey?"
Conor hesitated for a moment. He wasn't sure.
Stacey had many identities, and he didn't know which one she would use. Or perhaps she would use an identity he didn't know.
"Listen, Conor," Lennox tried to reassure him, "You said that Stacey, Ethan, and the tutor you hired for Ethan all know each other, right? Since they're all under your control, she wouldn't just leave without a trace. She must have had urgent matters to attend to. After all, she's the renowned Charlotte, and countless people must be seeking her services. Just be patient for a few more days, and maybe she'll return."
