"And now, we're about to bring three little guests on stage," the host announced, his voice filled with laughter. "We won't reveal their identities right away. Instead, you'll get to ask them questions and decide who you'd like to mentor as your intern baby. The final decision, of course, will rest with the kids themselves."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Take a moment to discuss amongst yourselves. We'll give the children a moment to prepare," continued the host.
Conor turned to Stacey. "Do you prefer sons or daughters?"
"I love them both," Stacey replied.
She had both a son and a daughter and cherished them equally.
"I prefer daughters," Conor stated, his voice calm.
"Mr. Burton, does that mean you wouldn't be kind to a son if you had one?" Stacey teased.
Conor glared at her. He wasn't entirely sure about the nature of Stacey and Ethan's relationship, but he had a hunch that Stacey was defending Ethan.
