Stacey closed the bathroom door behind her and answered the phone, trying to keep her voice low, "Hello?"
"Charlotte, it's me," the voice of James was respectful.
"I know," she replied, her lips tight.
"The thing is..." James started.
"I know," Stacey cut him off, "I'll be there tomorrow."
James paused, "How did you know?"
"It's a long story, James," Stacey sighed, rubbing her forehead, "If anyone asks about me, don't let them know anything."
"I promise. We made this clear from the beginning. I won't say a word about you," James assured her.
"Good. I'll sneak in tomorrow. This will be our secret. I'll give you the consultation results," she whispered.
"Understood," James nodded.
Stacey hung up, letting out a sigh of relief. She listened for any sounds outside. Conor's phone rang. It was James.
"Okay, I understand," Conor's voice was deep and attractive, his handsome face unreadable. Stacey waited until Conor hung up before casually exiting the bathroom.
