Chapter 37: Who Wants to Watch Ordinary People Fall in Love?
After breakfast, Conor drove Stacey to school. He watched her walk into the school before he got a call from Lennox. "Mr. Burton, where are you at?"
"I'll be there soon," Conor replied casually.
"Alright," Lennox hesitated, "Stacey isn't here yet."
"I know," Conor said indifferently, "I'll be a bit later than her. You know what to do."
"Of course," Lennox confirmed before ending the call.
Conor then spotted Stacey driving out of the school, making a beeline for the TV station. Only then did Conor leisurely start his car and follow her. After all, it was his fault she was late. He couldn't let her take the fall.
Stacey rushed to the TV station where Minnie was anxiously waiting for her. Seeing Stacey get there, Minnie breathed a sigh of relief.
"Sorry I'm late," Stacey said as she got out of the car.
"That's alright, our mystery guest hasn't shown up yet," Minnie said, relieved.
"Mystery guest?" Stacey echoed, surprised.
"Well... I only found out this morning," Minnie said awk
