"You can slap me, I won't fight back," Conor stated, dead serious.
Stacey was at a loss for words.
"What do you think?" Conor's lips tightened.
"I thought you were gonna say, if I push you away, you'll let me go," Stacey said, half joking.
"That's not gonna happen," Conor said flatly. "I'd rather you slap me silly than let you walk away."
Stacey blinked.
The sound of the rain on the tent surrounded them.
Conor's stare was hot and heavy, making Stacey feel a little shy.
"You should eat," Stacey looked away.
Conor nibbled a bit, then handed the rest to Stacey. "This is all yours."
"You told me to stop being so formal with you," Stacey made a face. "I still have some compressed biscuits. The show ends tomorrow. There's no point in saving them."
While she was talking, Stacey pulled out the compressed biscuits from her bag and started eating casually.
But Conor took the biscuits from her and gave her the pot.
He bit into the biscuits that Stacey had already started eating.
