"Your artist is badly hurt, yet you're standing there and just watching? Why didn't you help bandage his wound?"
Abigail's voice was sharp with fury as she pointed an accusing finger at Cecilia.
Cecilia was speechless. She was unsure of how to even defend herself.
Joshua had ripped off the bandages himself. Yet, somehow, Cecilia was now cast as the villain with zero awareness.
Meanwhile, Joshua was still putting on his pitiful act on the couch. With an aggrieved look on his face, he held Abigail's hand and sniffed. "Don't blame her, Abigail. I told her it was just a minor injury. Actors have to accept risks like this, after all."
Abigail patted Joshua's shoulder gently and said softly, "Joshua, you need to stop being so kind. Standing up for others is all well and good, but only if they care about you in return."
She shot another sharp look at Cecilia. "It's clear she doesn't care. Why don't I find you a new assistant?"
Joshua froze at Abigail's suggestion, and he quickly waved
