"Are you deaf?" I snapped, glaring at Joshua, my tone leaving no room for argument.
Joshua froze, stunned by my outburst.
"You want me to go pick up a dead person's stuff?" he asked, looking back at Abigail with a pout, whining, "Abigail, look at how he's treating me!"
Abigail hesitated, glancing at me before speaking seriously. "Samuel, I think Joshua has a point. The dead are gone, and the living need to move on.
"Since the things were already thrown out, what's the point of going back to get them? They're probably in a garbage truck by now. Aren't you just making things difficult for Joshua?"
