I went to the meeting with my team. They were pitching to me, but I wasn't impressed with any of them.
"Guys, we need to think harder, deeper. What is needed out there right now?!" I told them.
"A dating app? I can't seem to have a date," Jamie suggested. As the meeting continued, my hands itched to text Ellis. I wanted to ask how everything was going, but I needed to learn to tame my emotions. Luis did mention that I wasn't trying to hide how much I wanted him.
Hours ticked by, and I was ready to go home. I met Margot on my way out. I smiled at her. I was sure she was on maternity leave. Why was she back? Besides her, there was a lovely girl, no older than four.
"Hi, and who is this cutie," I asked, my heart warmed when the little girl smiled at me.
"This is my eldest daughter, Amelia," the little girl waved at me and hid behind her mom's leg.
"Too cute," I said.
