Chapter 13 An Attempt at Confidence
I looked at Vincent. He did not look that happy at all. Just like what he said the other day. Marrying Diana was just his duty.
Diana was smiling brightly. There was nothing beyond her powers.
Vincent and I looked at each other, but no longer for three seconds, then we knowingly looked away.
Diana was focused on her crown.
She then shook Vincent's arm coquettishly, "Vincent, didn't you say you wanted to take me to see the tribe's Elders? Let's go. I can't wait."
Diana looked at me. I said knowingly, "Go on, then. Don't be late."
Diana smiled and looked at Vincent. "Let's go, Vincent. We'll miss it if we're late."
Vincent sighed and nodded at Diana. Then, he looked at Wendy, next to my bed, and said, "Take good care of Princess Jasmine. My guard is by the door. Look for him if you need anything."
Wendy nodded.
Diana took Vincent along and left the room. The doctor, who was behind Vincent, pulled the needle out of me. I thanked him and he also left the room.
