The alpha wolf was walking toward me. Vincent pounced on him and bit him hard and the alpha wolf immediately fell to the ground.
 
Vincent turned back into a human to help me up.
 
The alpha wolf behind Vincent got up and attacked us. I put myself in between them, but due to the momentum, Vincent and I fell over the cliff.
 
I closed my eyes, quietly waiting for death. Even if I survived, falling off from such a high cliff would leave me incapacitated.
 
Vincent turned into a wolf and placed me on his back. I hugged his back, and we headed straight downward.

When it was time to leave, I did not have much luggage with me. Diana, on the other hand, had already filled two-horse carriages.
 
Diana hugged my father and stepmother, crying, "Father, Mother, I'll miss you."
 
My father and stepmother had tears welled up in their eyes as well. "Go. Go and have a great life. Be happy."

I turned to see Ryan standing by my carriage. He was glaring at me. I looked at him with fear in my eyes. I knew Diana had sent him to keep an eye on me.
 
I looked ahead once more to see Diana looking at me with an eerie smile on her face.
 
I shuddered. Wendy noticed that something was off with me. "Jasmine, are you alright? Why are you shivering?"
 
I shook my head. "It's fine. I just haven't sat in a carriage before."
 
I turned to look at the castle getting further away from us. I did not know how to feel. Was I sad? Happy? I did not know!
 
The journey to Houghton Castle from George Castle took about three days. Initially, the journey was still alright. It was mainly flat terrain. The first night was uneventful.
 
On the second day, we were about to enter the zone of the other tribes. The journey was going to be a little tougher. These tribes relied on ambushing the weak and those who had been banished from the wolf tribes.
 
That was why I would rather stay in the castle as a lowly servant than be banished because I would not survive there.

In an instant, more than 20 wolves came out from the bushes and surrounded us. I hugged Wendy tightly and started trying to make a connection with my wolf, but it ignored me.
 
The wolf looked at our carriages. "Boss, we've struck gold. There are quite a few horse carriages."
 
When Diana heard that they were going to take her things, she said, "How dare you try to touch my things! You must be asking for death! I'll make you pay!"

The alpha wolf shoved Wendy and Diana aside, picked me up, and headed deeper into the woods.
 
Diana yelled, "You ugly jerk! Don't touch Jasmine!"
 
Vincent heard Diana yelling and came running toward me. The alpha wolf dragged me along, being forced toward the cliff by Vincent.
 
Vincent roared at the alpha wolf. "Let her go!"
 
Vincent was hurt. He was even bleeding. I shook my head. "Don't try to save me. It's not worth it."
 
Vincent said, "Diana told me to save you. I must do it."
 
Turns out, it was all because of Diana.
 
The alpha wolf suddenly threw me to the side and turned into a wolf, attacking Vincent.
