Seeing me, the drunkard glanced up and down at me, wearing a malicious grin. "Little lady, are you with him?"
I gazed at him coldly, then turned to Chris and asked, "Are you okay?"
After steadying himself, Chris put some distance between us. He touched the wound at the corner of his mouth, and his gentle expression darkened for the first time. He replied, "It's a minor injury, I'm fine."
The drunkard, upon realizing that I was not paying attention to him, grew angrier. "Hey, little lady, why not follow me instead of this scrawny boy," he asked, reaching out toward me.
Chris quickly grabbed his wrist and warned, "Sir, this is my last warning. Please leave this place. Otherwise, don't blame me for what's about to happen."
The drunkard glared at him and scoffed. "Is a lowly outsider trying to boss me around!"
He attempted to pull his hand back, but no matter how hard he struggled, it would not come free.
His face turned from anger to confusion. "L-Let go of me!"
