I turned upwards towards the direction of the familiar voice. “Ariel,” I said with a smile. “It's great to see you,” I said as I made a move to hug her. Ariel met me with a massive smile, bigger than any I had ever seen her give.
“Out of my way,” she said, pushing me to the side. “Oh, how I missed you,” she said as she pinched Avario on his arm.
He laughed nervously and then looked at me, his eyes practically screaming, “Help me.”
“Ariel, we need your help,” I said.
“Help? With what?” she asked, barely glancing at me.
“As you know, there is a war happening right now.”
“Yes, I do,” she said flippantly as she continued to look at Avario. “And so what?” She turned towards me.
“We would like to hear from you about the war,” I replied.
