Slowly, I peeked through, I could finally see. "I can see," I declared in my mind. "Finally," I said as the room began to slowly take shape. The light wasn't bright; it was dim. I was in a metal room on a metal table, strapped down with thick leather straps. The two beside me wore lab coats.
"This one is a bit more cooperative than the last," the male said as the door opened. "Good," the female voice from earlier said. Instantly, it clicked in my mind.
"Celine!" I wanted to yell.
My mind was not as active for as long as I thought it would be. But Celine was there. I fought against the urge to open my eyes.
"She's awake," one of them said.
"Talia," Celine said as she opened one of my eyes. Unable to resist, I opened the second eye and flinched when the light flooded in.
"Lovely to see those beautiful greens," Celine said.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked, forcing my voice out.
