"Keep driving. I've been looking forward to Michael's wedding ever since I heard that I'll get to see the big shot," Janet said, closing her eyes as she prepared to rest.
The night stretched on endlessly, darkness enveloping everything. Janet's car was approaching the highway exit when it suddenly came to a screeching halt.
Janet was jolted out of her dream. "Do you know how to drive? Can't you handle a car?"
Charles broke out in a cold sweat. It wasn't his fault. It was the other car that had cut them off—a masterful maneuver that had blocked their path. If he hadn't reacted quickly, they would have collided.
It was clear that the other driver had done it on purpose.
The other car came to a stop. Atlas got out and slammed the door.
