Icarus couldn't be bothered with the two of them. Instead, he looked at Yvonne, who was standing beside him. She was raising her head and admiring a painting so much that she went into a trance.
"Do you really love art this much?" Icarus asked.
Yvonne snapped out of it and glanced at him. "Certainly. My childhood dream was to become an artist myself, and Mr. Clay was my aspiration.
"I would practice painting every day back when I was a young student, and I kept at it until I graduated from college. It was a shame that I was not talented. My paintings lacked a unique style.
"Sigh. If only I could own a painting of Mr. Clay's."
"Your family is wealthy. Why don't you just buy one for yourself?" Icarus asked.
"I would love that, but Mr. Clay no longer sells his paintings. Meanwhile, the collectors who had already gotten hold of them didn't need more money. It doesn't matter if I'm rich," Yvonne said in a regretful tone.
"I have some of Douglas' authentic paintings at my place.
