Chapter Forty Two

Claude came into the room, it was then that I noticed how dark it had gotten, and the sun had finally set, leaving the small glow of twilight behind. I had been asleep for five days and not once did Kilian see me. I hadn’t thought of it that much but now I knew that something was wrong. Something or someone had gotten to Killian. He had loved me. He loves me. Despite not coming into the room he still came to the hospital and that was proof enough, but something was holding him back and I needed to find out what. No one will take away my happy ending. “You’re awake?” Claude said as he came towards my bed and sat by the grey chair to my left, he looked tired, had he been here the whole time. If only Killian cared as much, but he did he’s just confused that’s all. “I’m awake.” I say as I brush the stray strands out of his face, “Why are you crying.” The tears rolled down his smooth pale skin. “I don’t know, I feel like I’ve wronged you, I should have kept you safe Genesis.” “I need to go.
