Chapter 70: Severing Ties
Anna suddenly realized that she had forgotten how crucial the evidence Elena had against her was!
"Anna, I wasn't planning to hold this against you, but you’ve repeatedly refused to learn your lesson. Do you really think I’m easy to mess with?" Elena was genuinely angry now.
She looked at Anna, then at Dan. "You two—childhood sweethearts, grew up together—how touching. So touching that you went ahead and booked a room together long ago."
"You’re talking nonsense!" Anna's face turned pale.
Mary also glared at Elena in anger. "Don’t slander Anna!"
Elena’s face remained cold as she looked at Mary. "Then why didn’t you say anything when she was slandering me just now?"
"She was concerned about you; you’re just overthinking things!" Mary retorted.
"Overthinking?" Elena almost laughed out loud. She turned to the others around her. "Anyone with a brain could see how much Anna has been badmouthing and slandering me just now. So, is it really me overthinking, or are you just too biased?"
