Coraline was currently sitting in front of Charlotte’s grave, staring at her epitaph and the inscription of her name.
A bouquet of white lilies lay at Coraline’s feet.
Charlotte spotted her from a distance and slowly approached her from behind.
“I’ve heard that this woman, Charlotte Simmons, has been dead for more than four years. Look at your tear-stained, devastated expression and how much you’ve cried for this woman who’s been dead for several years. Is it worth it?”

Coraline indignantly rose to her feet and pointed at her downhill as she spoke.
“You don’t know how important Carlie was to me. For you to say that, it means you don’t have anyone who’s as close to you as she and I were, best friends closer than sisters… You don’t understand our relationship and have no right to say anything about it!”

Charlotte stuck out her tongue.
“Actually, I do have a best friend, one like you’ve described—you.”
