Chapter 31 Crossing Charles
Olivia's POV
I briskly walked into Charles Harrington's office building, irritated that Damien had to be consumed by work, leaving me to handle this matter alone. Charles's secretary informed me he was unavailable, forcing me to sit in the waiting room, twiddling my thumbs and glancing at my watch every few minutes.
Hours passed, and my frustration grew. I interrogated the secretary about Charles's whereabouts, receiving vague responses. With my patience evaporating, I decided to take matters into my own hands. "Damien can handle these tedious meetings from now on," I muttered to myself.
Gathering my files, I stormed towards the exit, only to collide with an immovable force, sending my papers flying. "Ugh! Seriously?" I cursed under my breath, kneeling to collect the scattered mess.
