Hazel awoke early, the first rays of dawn casting a soft glow through the curtains of the guest room at Siobhan's house. Today marked the beginning of the next phase of her plan—a phase that required caution, precision, and most importantly, distance. Staying at Siobhan’s house had been convenient for a time, but now, it was a risk she couldn’t afford to take. Emma had met Siobhan before, though under the name Catherine, and any slip-up could unravel everything. Hazel sat up in bed, her mind already running through the logistics of the day. She needed to move out, and quickly. The sooner she was out of Siobhan’s house, the better. After today, she would be on her own, closer to Alexander, and further from the life she had left behind. But first, she needed to make sure everything was in place. She got out of bed and began her morning routine with meticulous care, pulling on a pair of dark jeans and a simple black blouse. She tied her hair back into a neat ponytail and kept her makeup
