Hazel’s plane touched down smoothly, and as she disembarked, the familiar buzz of a busy airport greeted her. She scanned the crowd for Siobhan, who had promised to pick her up. A familiar face soon came into view—a tall woman with striking features and a confident demeanor. Siobhan spotted Hazel and waved energetically.
“Hazel!” Siobhan called out, her voice carrying a warm, welcoming tone. “You made it!”
Hazel walked over, her smile slightly guarded. “Hi, Siobhan. Thanks for picking me up.”
“No problem at all!” Siobhan replied with a grin. “You know, I was about to have a heart attack when the flight was delayed, but here you are, just in time. I’d never forgive myself if I had to hunt you down in the airport.”
Hazel chuckled, the tension easing a bit. “Well, I’m glad you didn’t have to go on a manhunt.”
