Olivia let Camilla support her as they turned to leave.
In the funeral home lobby, Camilla helped her sit on a bench. Once Olivia was seated, she offered, "I'll get you a glass of water."
"No need," Olivia replied. "Does the prison still have his clothes?"
Camilla was surprised she was still concerned about that. She thought for a moment and answered, "There's one piece left at the prison. I'll ask someone to retrieve it."
"What color is it?"
"White."
"He liked white. Let it be white."
"Alright," was all Camilla said.
Olivia then closed her eyes, as if trying to block out the world. Tears began to fall, silently trailing down her cheeks like pieces of a broken pearl necklace.
Camilla stayed quietly by her side.
People passed through the lobby occasionally. Sensing the need for some privacy, Camilla suggested, "Shall I help you to the car?"
