For the first time after what felt like a lifetime, things were good.
Achilles forgave Carlos, and now he’s going to stick with us, as he is supposed to. I was still tired throughout the day, so Aristea demanded that I rested, so that was what I did. I slept, slipping in and out of consciousness, feeling better each time. Maia stayed by my side along with everyone, and the room that I dreaded before now became a comfortable little home for people who cared about me.
Since the bedroom that I destroyed and the rest of the area around it needed to be repaired, Achilles stayed with me for the night, sleeping on the couch in the corner.
