Chapter Eighty Seven: Covering Tracks
Canaan was surprised to see whom the perpetrator was.
"Nora?" He frowned in disbelief.
The fury on Canaan's face diminished, replaced with shock.
Nora slowly raised her head to look at Canaan. "Canaan," she said, a sheepish look on her face.
"What on earth got into you? Are you drunk? Did you go insane?"
"No, Canaan." Nora's voice shook as she answered.
She lowered her head, clutched her fingers, and winced in pain.
Shards of the broken glass dug into her skin, her blood staining them.
Then glass spilled around her laps and the floor of her seat.
The security team trooped in to ascertain the situation.
They cast a wary look at Canaan as they approached the scene.
Nora turned a pleading look at Canaan. Tears welled in her eyes, and her lips trembled with a desperate plea for Canaan's help.
Canaan averted her gaze, turning his back on her.
He was furious that she had tried to murder Layla and Derek.
