"What?" I asked Millie.
"A festival," she said with a giggle. "A Moon Festival."
"A what festival?" I whispered, repeating after her.
"Not just any festival. A Harvest Festival," she clarified a week after we had helped the cow deliver a calf.
"What does that mean?" I asked.
"Have you never been to a Harvest Festival?" she asked incredulously.
"Diamond Moon has a different name for it," I said, "but I've never attended one before. I've only heard about it."
"I see," she nodded, while Marcus continued to milk the cow beside me, chuckling.
"Diamond Moon called it a Moon Fest. It's basically just taking the name and shortening it."
"But Riley needs a female to act as the priestess," Millie continued. "In previous years, at least from what I remember, there was always a priestess."
"Oh," I said, looking at Millie . "So what does the priestess do?" I asked her.
"Well, she does nothing but stand and look pretty. At least that's what I remember," Millie shrugged. "I'm sure
