Chapter 258: The phantom god

Jacob led me to the villa basement, where two Omegas were in two bags positioned at opposite ends.
“Did they say anything?” I asked him as one of them sat up and rubbed his forehead.
“Ask yourself,” Jacob said, gesturing toward the first boy.
I walked over and sat beside him. A strong scent of urine filled the room the deeper I went, but despite the stench, I didn’t care. I needed to know.
“Will you tell me?” I asked.
The boy raised his head to look at me. “You’re the Luna,” he said with a smile. The smile slowly turned into a sad face, and then tears ran down his cheeks. “I don’t know what’s happening to me. I keep seeing terrible things in my sleep. I’m scared of going to sleep. I’m scared that if I close my eyes, I’ll see my mother again, hitting me. I’ll see her hitting my sister.”
“Where is your sister?” I asked.
He shook his head. “She’s dead. She didn’t make it.”
My heart nearly broke for him. “And these dreams you have? Is that where they are?”
He gave a nod
