Chapter 36 Not an Objec
The Skeet Game raged on. The crowd was on the edge of their seats, eyes glued to the two players, Marvin and Cesar. After an hour of intense competition, Marvin was in the lead with a score of 50-45.
The players were given a much-needed break of thirty minutes to recharge. Alice, definitely rooting for Marvin, silently prayed for his victory. She had seen his flawless aim throughout the game, never missing a single shot.
Her faith in his abilities was unshakable, and she was sure he would come out on top.
But Alice's attention was diverted when she saw her stepmother chatting with the Skeet Shooting Game coordinator's staff.
A sense of unease washed over her.
What was her stepmother up to?
Alice hoped she wouldn't stoop to any dirty tricks to sway the game's outcome.
Finally, the game resumed. The crowd held their breath as Cesar launched his shot, hitting the target with precision. The crowd erupted into a mix of gasps and applause as the score now stood at 50-46, with Marv
