The relief she felt when Marvin backed off was short-lived. She knew Cesar was talking about her and realized she needed to shut her stepbrother down ASAP. "Cesar, that ain't something you should be bringing up here," Alice reminded him. "Don't try to stop me, Alice," Cesar retorted, ready to argue. But this time, his parents stepped in. "What in tarnation are you doing, Cesar?" Jaymee demanded. "Son, that's downright rude," Oliver added. Despite everyone's objections, Cesar persisted. He smirked at Marvin with a stubborn glint in his eye. He believed that he shouldn't respect someone who was fooling around with his stepsister under the table.
