Chapter 27

Everything felt hazy and everything hurt. My head was pounding and I couldn't open my eyes because it felt as if a heavy load rested on them. My body felt limp and I couldn't move but my mind was sort of aware. I would be conscious for a few moments and then I'd fall into a deep sleep and the cycle would continue over and over again for I don't know how long. Every time I'd drift into my deep sleeps I'd see Cadmers smiling face and feel the Wolfsbane course through my veins and I'd scream and scream, wanting desperately to wake up and see something other than pitch black. It felt as if I was trapped in a nightmare unable to escape or find a way out. But just when I felt as if I was on the brink of utter darkness a light would guide me back and I'd feel safe and warm. I didn't know how it happened or why but it did and whatever it was it became my life line. I clung onto it with everything I had. It was the only peace I could latch onto.
