The moment she finished off the contents on her plate and her coffee, she shoved the chair back and sighed heavily with a groan as she stood up, feeling her drowsy eyes get the best of her this time. She was really running low on her energy this time and needed some rest, even just a little.

"Are you going training?" Harley asked as he stood up as well, leaving the table with Hope whose eyes were nearly closed at this point. "Hope?"

"I'm tired okay!?" She hissed, forcedly hitting his chest to which he didn't react to. Instead, he smiled and watched as she yawned again, letting out some tears of fatigue just sitting on the edges of her eyelids. "I want to sleep."

"We have a schedule today, as new alpha and beta. Mr. Roderick gave me this morning, just as a trail since it's our first time given this responsibility." Harley said, getting Hope to frown deeply as he grabbed her shoulders a

"What are we doing here again?" Kelvin asked as Emily walked up to the front porch of Jason's cabin, feeling her palms suddenly get sweaty from the thought of meeting him again when she should have just stayed home.

"You're the one that followed me. You should have stayed." She sighed out, as she clenched onto her fists from the fear of knocking onto the door.

"So aren't you going to knock?" Kelvin asked, noticing her reluctance as she hesitated at the door. Constantly reaching out and drawing back a couple of times. He sighed out as he rolled his eyes, walking up the porch beside her. He stared down at her as she pouted her lips, still hesitating. "You really are helpless aren't you Emily?" He sighed out and crossed his arms over his chest as he stared up at the door with a slight frown. "I'm arming you again, why do you like him so much?"

"Because he's Jason." She smiled to herself 

"So even if he decided he wouldn't divorce her, would you still be unwilling to marry me?" Kelvin asked as he glanced towards Emily who sighed out and bit onto her lower lip.

"Probably." She simply said with a small shrug of her shoulders as she patted her feet against the water. "I really love him."

"Why?" Kelvin just had to ask, wondering if the beta had ever really been the man everyone had seen him to be, also thinking he might have been secretly courting Emily behind everyone's back, after all, he's just a better and Emily's father was about to retire soon anyway. It only makes perfect sense that he would want to become alpha.

"Nothing really." She smiled out as she glanced at him, as always, enjoying it when she had to talk about Jason to other people. "He's always been really nice to me and I just loved the thought of it. He always smiled and always tried to protect me and make sure I'm okay. I think I just fell in love with that about him."

"Haven't you ever given it a thought that he could just be nice mostly because you're the alpha's daughter?" He asked with a straight tone to emphasize his point that she just didn't need to assume he's nice to everyone. "What if he's not really that nice of person? Would that be enough to change your mind about him?"

"Quit saying that. Or else I might slap you." She frowned at him, getting him to chuckle out lowly as he nodded slightly at her anger. "You're really annoying."

"Well, it's good to see I gave you an awful first impression." He smiled slightly when she rolled her eyes and glanced back into the water. "You do know we have to try to get along right?" He asked as he tilted his head stare at her. "Or else we'll be forced to get married much sooner than you want us to."

"I'll just say no." Emily shrugged her shoulders and leaned back to her arms.

"You're lucky your parents really value what you think." He sighed out and clenched his jaw. "In the human city, it's really hard to live the way we do here. There's school instead of training, and if you keep failing their tests, you can't really be a 'working' person or they assume you really have little value and they call you dumb. Whilst here, all you have to do is train and become strong. Even if you aren't that strong, you're either a cattle herder or you work as a chef in this mansion or a maid or something. No one cares if you can't write here. As long as you can do something useful and earn some money or food out of it. Best thing about this place is the feasting day where no one pays a dime but the alpha and the others have to feed the entire village." He sighed out at the thought of it, getting Emily to glance at him as he was practically drooling over the idea of food and yet he didn't seem like he ate at all, he was fairly built with bulky arms.

"You seem to love the idea of food though." Emily chuckled when he snapped out of the thought and glanced at him with a smile.

"Gosh I just love the juicy beef and pork with all that tender chicken glazed with some nice melted butter." He chuckled out when she smiled at him. "Though I love the mere thought, the last time I had a feast was when I was turning six and that was when I used to live here. When we moved into the city there were standards and all the diets and stuff. Making it really hard for werewolves who spent their entire lives finishing an entire cow just for lunch and dinner." He sighed out slowly at the thought of what he had missed. He clearly missed so much.

"I wouldn't want to live that life of yours." Emily shrugged as she stared at him. "Sounds demanding."

"Well, when we get married, you will have to live with me, no arguments there." He chuckled as she shook her head in denial and smirked out.

"Well good for me because I don't intend to marry you anyway." She chuckled as he nodded. "What are the schools like there?" She asked and he glanced towards her as he thought for a moment.

"Not bad." He nodded to himself. "Well like I said, you have to be a smart kid and memorize all that they teach. You have to know a lot about everything and it's really hard to grasp it all. My father didn't have to go through the school system, he just started doing his business and it didn't take long to grow big since he had some pretty impressive business skills. While I'm now in a university and I have to get a degree if I want to reach my dad's level. Talk about pure luck for him. No one cares if he wasn't a graduate or not, all they cared about was the fact he was making profits and that's all there it to it."

"Why not just work for you day and stop the university thing?" Emily asked and he laughed out slightly before shaking his head in denial.

"That's almost impossible, the people he works with still thing I'm not that good as my father and even though he thought about it, they advised him not to give me any part of it until they can tell I'm good enough by lasing through the university with a close perfect score in business." He sighed out with a small frown. "They want me to prove myself worthy for the spot that they don't have to decide for and my father willingly accepted the challenge for me. When all I really wanted was to finish school and live with the rest of the pack at least. I won't have to deal with all this business drama."

"But if you come here, everything you've learnt so far will be useless here." She said worriedly and he shrugged his shoulders.

"Some things aren't. Besides, if I marry you I'll be alpha and still be rich."

"Being alpha means you have to be the strongest you brainless spine." She chuckled out with a roll of her eyes. "Your brains don't work here."

"Well then I'll just train for it. I train in the gym back in the city every Friday and weekends, so I should at least be strong to a certain degree." He said as he raised his arm and clenched his fists to pop out his biceps.

"Well pray you are." She chuckled out.
