“How do you eat so much?” I asked. “Don’t you get sick?”
He shrugged, tearing into the remainder of the chicken leg. “I’m a big guy. I get hungry.”

“I’m teaching her nursing,” I replied.
He muttered a curse. “Why does it feel like I’ve been gone for years?” He eyed her. “Since when did you decide you wanted to get into nursing?”
