I crushed the plastic bottle into a small ball and dumped it into the trash can. As I turned, Liam stalked into the kitchen with an ugly shiner on his eye. I cracked a smile. “Hey, buddy. How’s the eye doing?”
His gaze slid over me, and his lips turned up into a snarl. “Fuck off, Ryder. I’m not in the mood for your bullshit.”
I annoyed the shit out of him last night as we returned from our hunt. We didn’t get the information we had hoped for, but we did manage to score a nest of vampires we got to take out.
And not a single one of those fuckers were lucky enough to escape once we descended.
Though, Jace was usually the one in the back making sure no one slipped up and do anything stupid, he was the one in the forefront last night taking out those son of a bitches like a energy-drunk teen at a bowling alley.
They flew everywhere.
And thanks to Jace’s spontaneous need for blood, it cost a few minor distractions and injuries here and there. I obtained a nice, shiny black bruise on
