"That's right. It was Cyrus who saved me. He's a hundred times better than you," Cecilia said.
Felix simply couldn't accept that. He had always thought little of his useless brother-in-law.
"That's impossible! I don't even dare to offend those men. Why would Cyrus dare?"
Cecilia closed her eyes and said, "Cyrus, take me home. I don't want to listen to his nonsense anymore."
"You can't take her away, Cyrus. Ceci is mine," Felix shouted.
In the taxi, Cecilia leaned against Cyrus, feeling uncomfortable.
She had never drank alcohol before, but tonight she had been forced to drink three glasses of wine. Her body felt hot, and her breaths were short. She felt like her throat was on fire.
