ANDREA’S POV
If Easton was trying to terrify me, he was doing a splendid job of it.
Only two things were running around in my head, chasing themselves in a circle. My children were hybrids. Like Nora. Like Kade.
My children had something evil living in their heads, just waiting to awaken and wreak havoc.
I felt Easton’s gaze on me, and I met it head-on, not letting him see just how terrified his information had made me.
“You sensed it, right?” he said softly, but not gently. “The dark one already shows signs.”
My heart stuttered. “Wh-what?”
He raised an eyebrow expectantly, like he was waiting for me to figure it out for myself.

I closed my eyes and took a breath. I remembered once, a year ago, when Matteo had been playing with this toy robot I’d gotten for him and his brother.
