CHAPTER 46 WHEN BLOOD COLLIDES
As Daniel's words hung in the air, the door to Juliet's bedroom burst open with a bang, the young woman herself standing in the threshold, her face flushed with fury.
"Fuck off!" she spat, her voice vibrating with venom. "I'm not a pawn in your twisted games, Daniel. You have no right to decide who I marry, or what I do with my life."
Caleb's expression darkened, his eyes narrowing into slits as he glared at her, his jaw clenched tight.
"You love him, don't you?" Daniel's voice was seething with rage, a storm brewing in his eyes as he confronted Juliet, his hands balled into fists at his sides. "What is it about him that you love so much? What's this 'bond' you have with him that's so much better than what we have?"
Juliet stood her ground, her own anger and hurt reflected in the icy glare she leveled at Daniel.
